...and then...と
When expressing the situation where, as a result of a certain action, another
action or matter inevitably happens, と is used to connect the sentences. Note
that expression of one's will, hope, invitation or request cannot be used
in the sentence following と.
- この ボタン を おす と、 コーヒー が でます。- Press this button, and then coffee will
come out.
- ひだり に まがる と えき が あります。- Turn left, and then you will find the station.
じかん が ある と えいが を みに いきます。- Will
じかん が ある と えいが を みに いきたいです。- Hope
じかん が ある と えいが を みに いきませんか。- Invitation
じかん が ある と ちょっと てつだって ください。- Request
